Spiral sand and water separator

The LSF spiral sand-water separator is used in grit chambers at sewage treatment plants to separate the sand and water mixture discharged from the chamber.

The LSF sand-water separator consists of a shaftless spiral, lining strips, a U-shaped trough, a water tank, a guide plate, and a drive unit.

Operating process: The sand-water mixture is fed into a water tank at the top of the separator. Heavier components of the mixture, such as sand, settle at the bottom of the U-shaped trough. Driven by the spiral, the sand particles are lifted along the inclined U-shaped trough floor, clearing the liquid surface and continuing to move a distance. After being fully dehydrated, the sand particles are discharged through the sand discharge port into a sand storage tank. The water separated from the sand is discharged through the overflow port and transported to the plant's inlet tank.

Product Description

The LSF series spiral sand-water separator is utilized in the grit chambers of sewage treatment plants to separate sand and water from the mixture discharged by the grit chamber.

The LSF series sand-water separator consists of a shaftless screw, lining strips, a U-shaped trough, a water tank, a baffle plate, and a driving device.

Working process: The sand-water mixture is fed into the water tank from the top of one end. Heavier components, such as sand particles, settle at the bottom of the U-shaped trough. Driven by the spiral, the sand particles are lifted along the inclined base of the U-shaped trough and continue to move for a distance after leaving the liquid surface. After the sand particles are fully dewatered, they are discharged through the sand outlet into a collection bucket, while the separated water flows out through the overflow port and is directed to the inlet pool within the plant
